Jamala joined #WeAreUkraine , a charity NFT campaign to raise awareness of Ukrainian culture and raise funds to support children and families affected by the war.

The exclusive NFT collection includes 14,850 digital collectibles that will be available for purchase within 6 months on OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace. Sales start this Wednesday, August 10.

The collection will feature artistic reproductions of the most famous monuments and places of interest that celebrate the history and heritage of the Ukrainian nation. Three additional NFTs are video recordings where Jamala performs folk songs from different regions of Ukraine: “Sohnet travushka”, “You will grow up, son” and Meni Ğamdan Azat Eyle.

“I am proud to be a part of the campaign. We wanted to add a few songs of our people to this NFT collection, which unites the most diverse corners of Ukraine. For me, folk songs are answers to thousands of questions that we ask ourselves every day. Just listen, and you will discover the Ukrainian people and their history in a new way ,” comments the singer and songwriter, winner of the “Outstanding Artist Leadership Award” of the Atlantic Council of the USA, Jamal, about her participation in the project.

70% of all collected funds will be distributed equally between two international charities that cooperate with the DIG Foundation: Save the Children and Women for Women International. The international organization Save the Children has been supporting children and families affected by hostilities in Ukraine since 2014. Women for Women International , in turn, provides assistance to women who have survived the war.
